Dear registered members,
The Dental Technicians Association of Saskatchewan will be implementing continuing education credits. A requirement of 24 credits per 3 years, will be needed to maintain registered status. This will hopefully urge technicians to keep up to date with expanding technologies and practices in our profession.
The association will be planning seminars in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting to help with attaining credits on an annual basis. Attendance and paricipation with the AGM and seminars will equal 8 credits. This allows a simple and effective way to attain sufficient credits and keep members up to date with the profession and its association.
Members may start accumulating credits June 1, 2015 allowing members to get a head start and not lose any credits from courses prior to the window start date. Any courses taken prior to this date will not be recognized. The first 3 year window to accumulate credits will begin April 1, 2016 to April 1, 2019.
For members unable to attend the AGM, links will be added to the association website www.dtas.ca, to better aid our members in attaining credits. For any questions or concerns please email the association at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., Attention: Continuing Education or bring your concerns to the next scheduled AGM.
Thank you,
Rick Kroener
President
